As you already know, this site explains how to make some accesories for a bicycle. I’ve described a Headlight, a Car Horn adaptation, attaching a Battery and installing a Generator (a.k.a dynamo). This time we are going to install a very basic Stereo.
Attaching a stereo to a bicycle may seem a Campy idea, but think about it. Using headphones or earbuds while riding may:
1) Prevent you from hearing incoming traffic
2) Impair your balance
3) Damage your ears
4) Deprive you of hearing the sound of wind and the feeling of speed (Hell yeah!)

I didn’t made a step by step tutorial for my own bike, frankly because I was lazy. But a friend of mine wanted a cheaper and faster version of the system, so I decided to make a post describing who to power cheap pc speakers using batteries
The black box on the right is de 12 volt, 8,2 Ah battery. The other is the amplifier casing.
Interior of the amplifier case, with front cover removed. The big capacitor is a total overkill for such small application, but who cares?
Keep al the wiring well protected from scratches and moisture
Another view of the wiring
I recommend you to make some kind of stand for your music player. Make sure it will not fall while riding.
This is the volume and tone control, we will talk about it later
If you have the geek spirit, you can make a dashboard to control the bicycle systems.
Attaching a voltmeter is a must: Over-discharging the 12v sealed lead acid battery will ruin it!

Please make other creation.. I like your made…
really like your stuff! amazing tutorials…
i always wanted to make a bicycle audio system, but, due to the weather in my country (rain and sun all year long) i couldn’t place a speaker on the bicycle…
Thank you by your comment Gyeo!
You can easily protect the speaker applying a thin coat of transparent paint. It will sacrifice some audio quality, but water will bounce off
